Stearman PT17 Hack
thingiverse
If you've purchased the Stearman PT17 from 3D Lab Print: https://3dlabprint.com/shop/stearman-pt-17-kaydet/, you can bypass reversing the shaft. This hack only works without the starmotor. You might have noticed that you need to reverse the shaft of the motor, which I failed to do because one of the screws holding the shaft is stuck. To reverse the shaft, check out this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4jSix3rUI2E. The motor used is a Turnigy 3542/5 1000-1250KV. I've added an STL model with a 1mm thicker support for those with smaller motors. It appears that the Turnigy Aerodrive SK3 only has three holes in the back for fastening, while my motor has four - I may need to make adjustments to the original design. The four bolts are DIN917 M3 x 16mm. You'll have to enlarge the hole in front of the starmotor by about a millimeter using a round file.
