In July 2010, the PT-17 model was revamped with enhanced features including new wings, improved textures, and additional details. The PT-17 is a nearly scale replica of the original aircraft, featuring a detailed radial engine. This virtual plane boasts a more accurate propeller, an instrument panel, air suction horn, and pitot tube. Available in numerous formats, this model showcases the PT-17's versatile use during World War II as a basic flight instruction aircraft across various military branches. Post-war, Stearman biplanes were sold to the surplus market and repurposed for civilian activities like flight training, crop dusting, personal use, aerobatics in air shows, and some are still flying today, cherished by their owners.
