The PT-17 underwent significant improvements in July 2010, featuring enhanced details, new wings, better textures, and additional features. The model closely resembles the actual aircraft with its intricately designed radial engine. It is fully textured for increased accuracy and comes with a more detailed propeller and an added instrument panel. Additionally, it includes an air suction horn and pitot tube. Available in various formats, this model has been widely used as a basic flight instruction aircraft during World War II by multiple service branches. Known for its simplicity, affordability, durability, and stability, the Stearman biplane with a radial engine witnessed extensive production before, throughout, and post-WWII. After the war, many were sold on the surplus market and found civilian use as flight trainers, patrol aircraft, crop dusters, and personal planes.
