In July 2010, the PT-17 model received an update with enhanced detail, new wings, improved textures, and more features. The aircraft is built near to scale and boasts a detailed radial engine. Fully textured and more accurate, it also includes a more intricate propeller and an instrument panel. Additionally, air suction horn and pitot tube have been added. Available in multiple formats, this model was a key flight instruction aircraft during World War II, used by various military branches. The Stearman biplane featured simple construction, a radial engine for power, affordability, durability, and stability. Built in large numbers before, during, and after the war, many were sold to the surplus market and repurposed as flight trainers, patrol planes, crop dusters, or personal aircraft. Some were modified for aerobatics in air shows, while others remain flying treasures today.
