In July 2010, the PT-17 model was upgraded with enhanced features such as additional detailing, new wings, improved textures, and advanced functionality. This meticulously crafted model closely resembles the original in terms of scale and includes a highly realistic radial engine. The propeller is more accurate and detailed, while an instrument panel has been added for further authenticity. Additional features include an air suction horn and pitot tube. Available in a variety of formats, this model represents the PT-17 biplane used extensively during World War II for basic flight training by various military branches. Post-war, these aircraft were sold on the surplus market, finding use as flight trainers, patrol planes, crop dusters, and personal aircraft. Numerous modified Stearmans participated in aerobatic shows, while many continue to fly today, cherished by their owners.
