I've got a nasty scar on the front of my VW New Beetle, courtesy of putty breaking off all over the place. The previous owner tried to fix it with bondo, but now it's falling apart - literally. To give the car some much-needed personality, I created a steampunk-inspired logo that'll cover up the mess. My goal is to cast this beauty in aluminum using my brand-new crucible and furnace. I've also been tinkering with a custom gear generation algorithm in OpenSCAD, which lets me create any size and tooth configuration I desire. The logo itself was rendered entirely using CSG - it's a real showstopper!
