Steampunk Maze Box
myminifactory
Hello! This is my fourth puzzle box, and I'm excited to share it with you. It's incredibly easy to print and assemble, requiring only a simple rubber band. You'll need to navigate through a maze to reach the end and unlock the box. I designed this puzzle to be more challenging than your average maze, so get ready for a fun test of your problem-solving skills. The first obstacle you'll face is that there's no clear path to the finish line, and the ball bearing can disappear from view at any moment. Plus, the four gears will occasionally block or open paths, adding an extra layer of complexity to your journey. The good news is that all the pieces are oriented correctly for printing, with minimal support needed – just what I aimed for when designing this flat box. The 6mm diameter ball bearing is crucial to solving this puzzle. You can either print it yourself using a 0.1mm layer height, low print speed, and brim, or use a metal one if you have access to one. Just be aware that a smaller ball may not work as well, so you might need to scale down all the parts. I drew inspiration from this fish design on Thingiverse: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1915285 For the hinges, I borrowed from this steampunk box: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3334792 Want to check out more of my puzzle boxes?
