I loved the original Steampunk Light Switch design - very well made, thought out and properly designed. However, American light switches are very different, and as a European, I decided to create a version tailored specifically for European switches used in Denmark. This adaptation works by leveraging the lever's motion on the switch when thrown, then adding two springs that apply pressure to the bottom part of the switch, forcing it to turn off whenever you pull the switch away. Alternatively, if you don't have 5mm ID springs to fit this design, take the switch cover off and insert a spring directly into its housing. Be cautious not to use too strong springs. I added a small indentation in the stopper on the switch to accommodate a magnet - an optional feature if you want extra grip to hold the lever in place, but I've never encountered any issues without it. The magnet slot measures 5.5mm by 2.1mm.
