steampunk gear rack and pinion light switch

This is a kit-bash/remix, of 3 different models I found here at thingiverse plus a few added parts. I work in the 3d software AC3D, so I've included my source files as .ac files, as well as the print layout .stl files. the stl files are laid out so they will print on any 8"x8" (205mm x 205mm) printer with the minimum use of supports. This project started out as a request from a friend as he just bought a new book case unit and when he put it in his room, he hadn't considered that the light swtich for the room would be behind the book case. This project allows him to have a handle off to the side to flip the light switch that is not blocked by the bookcase, and done with some style. ;) I've included 2 versions here, the regular and the long version. I haven't printed the longer version yet, so your results may vary ;) The regular version I've got to work just fine by adding screws and washers to keep the gears from walking off the axles. the longer version was done more to reverse the action of the rack so the up motion of the rack turns the light on and the down action turns the light off. In the shorter version, the action is backwards.
