Steampunk Drawer Unit

I scored big at an estate sale, snagging a gorgeous 80's mahogany two drawer filing cabinet that nobody else wanted. I'm sorry, but I don't have a before photo to show you the ugly truth. A construction-grade 2 x 4 was cut into thin strips, sanded smooth, stained, and coated with epoxy to give the old cabinet a sleek new look. The 3D printed details were designed to resemble an antique steamer trunk, complete with intricate designs and patterns. To add some extra flair, I added four decorative centrepieces that feature a non-functional planetary gear system. Each piece was carefully primed and painted with metallic acrylic paints before being sealed with water-based varathane. Now this one-of-a-kind filing cabinet is both functional and beautiful, making it the perfect addition to any home office.
