My entry for the steampunk puzzle box is based on a mantle clock design. The main locking mechanism is opened by turning the clock hands to 7:25 as indicated by the panel on the back. The two cams on the inside lift the locking pins enabling the side handles to be slid out. The front door can then be pulled open to reveal the compass. The compass is held in place by a locking ring that is only released when the compass is turned so that north is pointing down. If individual STL files for each component are required they can be made available.
