Steamdeck Grip

**Update** Version 2 of the grip is now available: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:6234023 (more comfortable, and 100% less mesh holes!) ----- I designed this grip extension to improve the ergonomics of the steamdeck, at least as far as my own hands go. I felt that the deck grips were a bit too small and awkward to hold, especially when using the trackpads a lot. I really liked how the old Steam Controllers felt to hold, and how they positioned your thumbs perfectly over the trackpads. I tried to replicate that here as much as possible. The fact that the steamdeck is a lot heavier to hold than any normal gamepad was also a consideration. I designed the finger holds to be as deep as possible, so there are more places to distribute the weight of the unit over the entire hand. The pinky area especially is intended to increase the amount of support. There was a lot (and I do mean a LOT) of iteration on this project. This is probably the 10th iteration of the grips, so it's very possible it has reached a point where it really only fits my own hands. I'm uploading the source design here for this reason. I want this to be easy to modify by anyone, so the source file (for Fusion 360) includes the editable form for the grip in the timeline. Just double click that to change the shape however you want. Bear in mind though, this isn't what I do as my day job, so the form topology isn't exactly following best practices or anything like that... in fact, it can easily break (and crash fusion) if you delete the wrong edges. Anyhow, I hope this is useful to others.
