Steam Train Whistle
thingiverse
A 3D printed rendition of a wooden novelty toy, owned by my son's friend, features a distinctive dual-note sound. This functional prototype was created using a RepRap Prusa-Mendel i3 printer, sliced with Slic3r 0.9.9. The print settings include layer height at 0.25mm, nozzle diameter of 0.35mm, two perimeters, and three layers on top and bottom. Fill density is set at 25%, with a solid fill threshold of 5 sq.mm, resulting in a printing time of 65 minutes. The printed toy occupied 14.7 cm3 of PLA material, equating to 2.4 meters of 3mm filament.
