Steam Tank
thingiverse
I'm not a huge fan of the Games Workshop Steam Tank, so I decided to create my own version. This model isn't exactly a kit; some parts will need clamping and gluing, and gun barrels are not included. Please refer to the images for assembly instructions, as it's ultimately up to you which parts to use or omit. You can assemble this tank with either the low roof or command tower to represent a command tank - I think they look great in a squadron of three. NOTE: These tanks are 28MM true scale and designed for use with 28mm miniatures like Perry. If you plan to use them with modern "Heroic" scale miniatures, you may want to scale the model up by 2-5%. I recommend printing the upper deck first to check the scale, then matching it for all other components. I also suggest painting the boiler and stack separately, as well as the wheel carriage with wheels attached. All parts are included separately, and I've grouped the wheels and body parts into two easy-print files. Please enjoy your print and share it if you decide to make one. *EDIT 001: The Command Upper Deck was misaligned; the model has been updated so that the deck fits correctly on the support tower.
