LT&SR Tank engine 4-4-2T in 1:48 (Proto48 scale) The second locomotive in a series of budget-friendly scale models. This particular model is based on 'Thundersley', the last survivor of its class. If you build one, please share your project photos. I'd love to see them all and look forward to more to come! Use any circular shaft as the axles - filament, metal rod or wood works fine. I used cut metal nails for my build, with a metal rod as the main shaft and the flatted endpiece to keep the connecting rod attached to the wheels. They perform well. The entire build consists of four files: .OBJ, .STL, and .3MF models. You may encounter some issues with the 3D models appearing distorted in slicer software, but they should print perfectly fine.
