In "Kinematics of Machinery," by Franz Reuleaux (1963), a model of Lord Cochrane's rotary steam engine is presented as the tenth in a series from the book. This collection also includes Steam Engine I-VI Mechanisms, Pump Cochrane Mechanism, Payton Water Meter Mechanism, Eve's Chamber-Wheel Gear Mechanism, and Ratchet-Train Mechanism. The model was created using Solidworks 2016 and rendered with Simlab Composer 6 Mechanical Edition, with frames edited in Virtualdub and saved as AVI/X264 and BMP. It was then remuxed to MP4 using MyMP4BoxGui, gifs made with PhotoScape, and renders edited with IrfanView. The 3D-PDF, ZIM, and SIMLAB files are all animated, with the ZIM file viewable on IOS and Android devices via the free Simlab Viewer app. The model is available in multiple formats, including Solidworks 2016, Simlab Composer 6, DAE, STEP, IGES, Parasolid, OBJ, 3D-PDF, SketchUp, 3DS, and ZIM.
