From "Kinematics of Machinery: Outlines of a Theory of Machines", by Franz Reuleaux (1876), reprinted in 1963, this is a model of a Steam Engine by Cochrane, Hick, Lechat, England, created in 1831. The body is red, the shaft is yellow, sliders are orange, working blades are green, and the center axis (held by the cover, not shown) is pink. This model is part of a series from this book: Steam Engine I Mechanism, Steam Engine II Mechanism, Steam Engine IV Mechanism, Steam Engine V Mechanism, Steam Engine VI Mechanism, Pump Cochrane Mechanism, Payton Water Meter Mechanism, Eve's Chamber-Wheel Gear Mechanism, Steam Engine VII Mechanism, and Ratchet-Train Mechanism. It was modeled with Solidworks 2015 and rendered with Simlab Composer 6 Mechanical Edition. Editing was done using Virtualdub, IrfanView, and PhotoScape, and the file is available in multiple formats including 3D-PDF, ZIM, and more.
