Steam Engine
thingiverse
I made this for school and designed a 2-cylinder spool valve engine that should run but if it doesn't, I can adjust it to fix any issues. Once I get some printed images, you'll see what the setup looks like in more detail. As of now, the design uses too much plastic, so I plan on simplifying it to use less. My project is building a model vehicle that moves along a track using compressed air, and it includes features like a transmission differential frame and others. Let me know if you have any questions or comments. Below are step-by-step instructions: The diagram should be clear, but if not, feel free to ask for clarification. To get a full-size printout, scale the design by 1000 times using slic3r or multiply it by 10 in repieter host. Materials needed: * 4 supports_fixed * 1 base (already repaired) * 1 sleeve_and_head_assy * 2 pistons * 2 connecting_rod * 2 crank_pivot * 1 bottom_head * 2 crank_pivot_pin * 1 crankshaft * 2 bushing_out * 1 bushing_mid * 2 spool valves * 2 valve_rods * 2 spool_pins * 2 cam_linkage mechanisms * 2 cam_linkage_pins * 2 connecting_rod_bottom * 2 cam_linkage_bottom * 2 intake_valve_covers * 1 intake_manifold * 1 PTO unit * 2 piston_pivots * 2 eccentric components * 1 flywheel Keep an eye out for more detailed instructions once I complete my own model.
