The Steam Deck SD card carousel stores up to 7 micro SD cards in a uniqe case shaped like the logo of the steam deck. By pressing the middle button that is spring loaded you can turn through the 7 different stored cards and also one spot to lock it once its fully loaded.

Numbers engraved on the middle wheel make it easy to find the right card and also to put the disk into locking position.

Watch out when gluing together the top and lower shell you dont accidentally also glue the turntable in the middle.

The whole build only needs one additional spring, 10mm in diameter and 15mm high in addition to the 3 printed parts.

Yes I probably could have made this a lot lot smaller but I decided to make it actually bigger as initial intended, as micro SD cards are super easy to loose I wanted to make a case that is hard to loose and easy to spot.

when assembling fine tune the turning mechanism by filing/reducing the locking pin of the “dial case”. The pressing down distance it needs to unlock to be able to turn should be as minimal as possible. if you can press down the button to much, the gap appearing between the turning wheel and the case could cause the SD cards to jam if not assembled correctly.

Print the dial case with supports up from the print bed.

<oembed url="https://youtu.be/aRr0PjG32no"></oembed>
