Steam Deck official dock case
thingiverse
This is a "case" for the Steam Deck official dock that Valve sells. I was not comfortable just plopping my steam deck onto the dock as the sides were completely unsupported, and it was tough to put it on centered. I would've preferred something like the nintendo switch dock as you can just slap it in and ensure that it's in the correct position and won't fall out by accident. I could not find a case like that for the steam deck that uses the official dock, so I made one. I have included 7 files. 2 of the files (SteamDeckDockCaseLeft and SteamDeckDockCaseRight) are the actual files you would need to print to get the case itself. You would line up the left part with the dock, then insert the right part from the other end and they should slot right into each other with the alignment pins. Don't worry about the slight gap in the pictures, it lines up fine. There's just some support material left inside the hole for the alignment pin and my clips are in the basement but its late at night and I saw a spider when I was taking the print off the bed and I don't wanna go back there right now. You should be able to get away with no supports on the SteamDeckDockCaseRight part, but you will likely need support for the left. The other files are STLs for the official steam dock and the steam deck themselves in case you would like to line them up in your software of choice and make modifications to the case. I have also included the step files for the steam deck, the dock, and the case. PLEASE NOTE: While the height and width of the steam DOCK are accurate to the true thing, the fillets and chamfers are not. I just had to eyeball them as they weren't as important to the design of the case. The step and stl file for the Steam Deck however, are 100% accurate as they were provided by Valve on gitlab.
