Hello, I made this docking station for my Steam Deck. It uses a cheap ebay usb c hub that I cut in half and extended the wires on. (https://www.ebay.de/itm/284550467179) You need to glue the usb c port into the dock and add a rubber band to the clips at the Dovetails.
