Steam Controller joystick mod

The newest model is called "sc mag stick base". It's a great addition to my setup. I've attached a picture of it in my white Steam controller, but don't mind the sloppy vinyl wrap job - I'm still learning! The model was printed from Shapeways using their professional black plastic, which is actually a type of powdered nylon that gets fused together during the printing process. It fits perfectly without any modifications to the internal joystick pot stem or front plate. There's no looseness or wobbliness at all - it's snug and secure. I used the tops from a 3rd party Xbox Elite replacement kit, which can be found on Amazon. The only minor complaint I have is that the tops from the kit are extremely tight fits, making it more difficult to swap them out than I'd like. However, they hold securely once installed, so I'm not planning on modifying the design to make them more magnetic-friendly. Overall, I'm happy with how this model turned out - it's functional and durable enough that I trust its performance. If anyone else wants to tinker with the tolerances, feel free to do so!
