Stealthy Half Dart Magazine
thingiverse
Hi All, This is a 6 dart, half dart magazine concealed as a regular old 6 dart nerf magazine. It is based on two wonderful models, the Thanhos Mags V1.1 by Thanhtacles, and the "Nerf Six Dart Magazine" by HeliumSpoon. I have spliced the two together with my very amateur TinkerCAD skills. As such, the model has some roughness but has been successfully tested and works. One thing you'll notice in the pictures is how god awful the print quality looks. This is not because of my printer, but because the exterior of the print must be printed face down, and is printed almost fully on supports. You can try making the exterior the face up part of the print for an increase in print quality, but then the quality of the interior might be too messy for the follower and darts to slide along. However, if no one is looking to closely, this might pass for a regular old nerf magazine. Which leads to the question you might have, why do this? I created this little monstrosity to finish off my sleeper longshot build. I did a sleeper breach in the longshot, hollowed out the barrel to fit a small scar internally, and have done a few other little modifications, all with no exterior effect. With the magazine now appearing to be a regular old nerf mag, the effect is complete. Lastly, this is designed to work with any blaster that takes talon mags in the traditional talon mag to full dart mag converter from worker. It uses the mag spring found here: https://foamblastshop.com/product/nerf-replacement-drum-spring/. I found that the spring was too strong, and I had to gently, slowly bend it past flat in the opposite direction of it's curve a few times in order to avoid jams. It requires 4 nerf screws to be put together, but you can probably just superglue it. Regards, John Smith
