Stealthburner Final - "Nutted" edit - Spider/Orbiter 2
prusaprinters
more edits 4/26/24: redid the cover for the spider v1, now with a slightly deeper spot for the part cooling fan (tested and fit okay for me, though a piece of tape to help where the duct fits will help - the orbiter 2 is just too long to get it to fit without messing with the filament path). Had to add some extra material in a few spots to close external holes created by making the fan hole deeper, but it shouldn't change the fit at all (most ppl would probably not even notice /shrug).---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------04/22/24: Found updated files for the orbiter 2 front shroud (mainbody) on Elcrni's github from dec 23 that work far better than what I have here with proper clearance for the Orbiter 2 so it doesn't hit the 5015 blower fan. Some edits done for the Spider v1 setup due to request, all currently being printed and tested. Will put zip in “other files” folder for now until all is found to be working well.Toolhead pieces for the Creality Spider v1 based on final SB release (angled sides not squared) without nutted inserts will be in zip as well. Also made a sloppy but hopefully effective edit so that the leds will fit properly in the faceplate. It's ugly af (was done in Tinkercad as usual) but will hopefully suffice until I can learn Fusion 3d or something better and not make such a mess of it.My apologies again for any frustrations on this project.-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------6/6/23 edit:: did an edit for the Creality Spider v3 hotend. it's untested, so it'll be in the experimental folder until tested okay. Including “nutted” and regular versions. no changes other than the hotend area so any stock fanshroud should work with it. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------::edits:: fixes all around, redid where nuts go in most parts to work easier. all tested for fit, seem gtg on my end. Added x-axis with slot for cr-touch (unknown if bl-touch will fit as I don't have one to fit test) but sits above hotend nozzle height. Will be installing and testing on machine soon. Moved modded toolheads and backs to regular file list, as they have all been printed and look gtg on my end. Give them all a go, keep me posted if adjustments are needed. Ty again for your patience and for giving it a go! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ They are still in the testing phase, but should work okay as is. Print at own risk until testing is done. Also found that when assembled with the orbiter 2, there wasn't enough room for the faceplate to fit once 5015 fan was in place (I could have gotten a knock off orbiter 2 but I hope not). So I modded the front section by adding 1mm more of material which so far seems to not interfere with anything as far as the filament path, while resulting in a much better fit. The front fan shroud/faceplate needs a small edit if using the stock tensioner knob for the Orbiter 2 (super close and tight), but that isn't done up just yet. This is still a work in progress, so please bear with me.Latest modded files are in the fixed/untested folder for now. I'll update after getting these printed out and test fitted to make sure no other snags arise.---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Stealthburner mod using square nuts instead of heat inserts. Toolheads/fanshrouds for Creality Spider v1&2 hotends, and Orbiter 2 extruder. This is basically an update to the SB beta build for the Spider v1 hotend with a few extra mods. If you want the toolheads with the regular heat inserts I can post them as well.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Orbiter 2 mount/cover originally from: https://github.com/elcrni/Voron-Mods/tree/main/Orbiter_2.0_SB_CW2_EnclosedNuts from Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/YUNSHUO-Stainless-Square-100pcs-Thickness/dp/B07G9TTZDBNut insert borrowed from model: https://orbiterprojects.com/apogee-ender-3-v2/Original Voron Stealthburner parts: https://vorondesign.com/voron_stealthburner--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Make sure and use the appropriate fanshroud/faceplate for your hotend/toolhead setup. Longer for Spider v1 hotend, shorter for Spider v2. Use your choice of x carriage, & all other Stealthburner parts work with these (should anyways, nothing has been edited as far as where the parts mount with the original stock Stealthburner files). The fanshroud/faceplate for the Orbiter 2/Spider v2 is included (is slightly different from the stock one) but you can use the stock one (or whatever one specific to your extruder) if you're using a different setup.Spider 2 files have been printed and tested, spider 1 toolhead parts still printing but should work no problem (files work fine prior to changing to the nut insert mod). --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Biggest note: The bottom holes for the fanshroud and toolhead portions included in this setup have been modded for a 4mm screw instead of the 3mm. I found these were easier to source, I can reset them to the stock size if requested. Video on how to edit the nut inserts for your own toolhead/models soon to be uploaded. Thanks for looking! Tips, builds, and constructive comments always appreciated!
