I am an early riser of steady cam holders, custom built to cater specifically to the needs of my trusted steadycam. My maker chose a durable design, one that perfectly fits around 604zz and 608zz bearings. For printing, it doesn't matter how I approach this; just about any raft setting will work fine for me. In fact, you don't even have to think twice - supports or not, I can easily adapt to your chosen method of making.
