This design project is still evolving, but I'm committed to bringing it to life. The challenge so far has been getting Stax files into SolidWorks 2012 for rendering with my model, which has delayed progress. However, I've made some initial progress and wanted to share what I have, given the similarity I've noticed between this design and another Arduino case. The idea is based on the Arduino Uno but should work with any board, including other Arduinos and compatible boards. There's space for a micro-controller with a shield on top, along with room below for a small breadboard or battery pack to be attached. On the back side, there's a flat area ideal for attaching a solder-less breadboard, with cutouts near the Arduino pins to enable jumpers to pass through to the other side. The sides of the enclosure are designed to be flat so it can sit securely on your desk when wiring and building your circuit, while the ridge is specifically sized to fit snugly in the Stax system for safe storage. To create this accessory, you'll need four StaX mid parts and work best if you use the top as the base and bottom as the top, giving you easy access to the USB and power connections. In the renders I used Arduino Uno R3 by Andrew_Whitham and Breadboard - For Electronics Projects by Shane Anderson. Thank you both for making your designs available!
