STAW Alliance Listening Post

STAW Alliance Listening Post

thingiverse

I was playing the Star Trek Attack Wing - Alliance campaign set with my buddy and the mission came up to defend the listening posts at the other end of the wormhole. The tokens that came with the game are flat, boring and you need to track the damage they take independently. I wasn't very impressed, so I came to thingiverse looking for an alternative where I found rocketshipgames Satellite model for X-Wing. I added a small dish to better match the image on the token and also created a different type of damage tracking base to match the dimensions of the tokens provided with Alliance. The base allows you to track the 8 points of hull damage the listening posts can take by rotating the top dial. All you need is an M8 washer to allow the top half to rotate without scratching the paint off of the lower half. See the pictures for reference. I painted the lower half white and filled the numbers with plack paint, the upper half and the stem were painted black as well. After that I didn't have enough time to paint to paint the rest of the listening post so it remained grey, but even in their current mere primed and unpainted state they are already less boring than the token. As for the files, I have omitted the Solar Panels because I haven't made any changes to those, so you should download the original from rocketshipgames first.
