This exquisite reliquary surround holds fragments of the true cross and Christ's cloak (or so the ancient pieces of wood and cloth claim). The empty slots on its four corners were meant to contain crystal inserts with these sacred relics. Above, two archangels take center stage in ornate boxes, while Constantine and Helena gaze out from full-length portraits on either side. Delicate flowers pattern the length of this masterpiece. For best results, display it vertically with a brim. The cross of Irene fits perfectly into this print when pushed in from behind. Due to its intricate design, make sure to trim and finish the edges carefully before attempting to assemble the pieces. This piece is particularly delicate because of its slender edges around the cross, so handle it with care when removing supports or trimming excess material. In real life, this treasure would never be removed from its frame, but for our purposes, caution is key.
