The almandine and staurolite in this sample display identical hues, yet the staurolite crystals are noticeably elongated compared to their equant garnet counterparts. Furthermore, some of these staurolite crystals exhibit a rectangular or square shape. This particular specimen spans 10.5 centimeters in width.
