Staurikosaurus pricei Colbert, 1970 is one of the most ancient dinosaur species known to date, boasting an age of approximately 225 million years. This remarkable discovery was made in the Santa Maria region of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. The complete skeleton reconstruction was based on the MCZ 1669 holotype and served as a foundation for comprehensive studies on myology and locomotion. Grillo, O. N., Azevedo, S. A. K., Delcourt, R. (2013) skillfully capture the essence of their work in "You Never Forget Your First Love," a thought-provoking chapter in Lopes, J., Brancaglion Jr., A., Azevedo, S. A. K., Werner Jr., H.'s (Editors) groundbreaking book, Tecnologias 3D: Desvendando o Passado, Modelando o Futuro. Grillo, O. N., & Azevedo, S. A. K. (2011) made a significant contribution to the field with their research on "Recovering Missing Data: Estimating Position and Size of Caudal Vertebrae in Staurikosaurus pricei Colbert, 1970." This pivotal study was published in Anais da Academia Brasileira de Ciências, Vol. 83, No. 1, pp. 61-71. Grillo, O. N., & Azevedo, S. A. K. (2011) also conducted an in-depth analysis of the pelvic and hind limb musculature of Staurikosaurus pricei, which was published in Anais da Academia Brasileira de Ciências, Vol. 83, No. 1, pp. 73-98.
