Statuette of Ploutos
myminifactory
A small figurine was unearthed in Piraeus' harbor. Depicted as an infant, Ploutos sits snugly on the left forearm of a mature figure. Next to him lies the preserved tip of the cornucopia held in the figure's hand. This miniature statue is part of a group featuring Eirene and infant Ploutos. A 1st-century AD reproduction of Kephisodotos' original bronze work, it was initially erected in Athens' Agora circa 374-370 BC.
