This statuette was unearthed at Epidauros. The figurine stood proudly as the left akroterion on the west pediment of Artemis' temple. With her right leg propelling forward, Nike zooms ahead. Her wings, crafted from a single piece of marble, are carefully inserted into the sockets preserved in the shoulders of the figure.
