A majestic granodiorite statue of Intef, an ancient Egyptian scribe from the Middle Kingdom's 12-13 Dynasties, sits proudly in the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston. This regal figure holds a rolled papyrus scroll on his lap and his writing tools draped elegantly over his left shoulder. Uncovered at the Kerma site in Nubia through meticulous excavation, this stunning statue is now part of the San Antonio Art Museum's collection. Crafted from 49 meticulously captured photographs taken with a Canon EOS Rebel T3i camera, and then expertly merged using Metashape 1.5.1 software, this digital recreation captures the intricate details of the original work with breathtaking accuracy.
