Usermaatre Setepenamun Osorkon II ruled Egypt as pharaoh from around 872 BC to 837 BC from Tanis, his capital city during this Dynasty's reign. He was the fifth ruler of the Twenty-second Dynasty and son to Takelot I and Queen Kapes. This basalt throne is inscribed with hieroglyphs on its sides, visible in a partial scan due to poor lighting conditions. The seated figure on the throne is partially preserved as well. It was discovered at the Temple of Baalat Gebal in Byblos.
