The Statue of Sir Walter Scott is situated on Markethill Road, East Kilbride, South Lanarkshire. Commissioned by David Robertson, a local builder, in 1871, the statue was carved out of stone by William Arneil, an Eaglesham stonemason. Recorded in February 2021, this statue has been given the nickname 'THE STONE MAN', earning it Category C listed building status in East Kilbride.
