Statue of priestess or Muse
myminifactory
This is a replica of a statue unearthed in Hadrian's Villa at Tivoli, originating from an ancient sculpture crafted during the 2nd Century BC. The Roman sculpture was most likely a copy of a Greek original work of art. It is widely accepted that the statue represents a standing priestess of Isis, but it has since been restored to depict a priestess or vestal holding a jar. Over time, the artwork has undergone extensive restoration efforts. The head is an antique piece, although it does not belong to the original sculpture. The original can be found on display at the Capitoline Museums (Inv. MCo735).
