Statue of Liberty bronze model
thingiverse
I'm excited about the way adding more RAM to my struggling iMac gave it a major performance boost, allowing me to create superior models in Photoscan with ease. Revisiting a recent project, I re-examined a 19th-century bronze model of the Statue of Liberty made by Parisian foundry Thiebaut Freres, crafted to meet an order from years past. I'm delighted with the improvement in detail after tweaking things around, but some of the finest details had to be sacrificed to ensure the mesh file stayed small enough for uploading and sharing it with others. The original model still looks even more fantastic than this rendition, though! I'll need to dive deeper into Meshmixer and Blender soon to address all those tiny flaws the 3D model is currently plagued by. I'm really looking forward to refining my skills and perfecting this! Recently, I got a thrill out of discovering it was printed with accompanying photos that showcased how the model underwent some minor modifications.
