Statue of Liberty
thingiverse
I took a detailed scan of the bronze cast requested by Bartholdi. The original bronze was crafted by Thiebaut-freres foundry in the late 19th century and stood approximately 21 inches tall. To reflect the final Statue of Liberty design, I made slight adjustments to the scan. I aligned the rays with those on the New York statue and rotated the flame to match its angle as well. The rest of the scan remained largely unchanged. However, some details are lacking and could benefit from refinement in software like Blender or Zbrush. The facial features, fingers, toes, tablet date, coiffure pattern, torch balustrade, and broken shackles require particular attention. Despite this, the model will still look great on its own, but it's an excellent project for someone to clean up. This 480mm model can be easily resized using Meshmixer or Netfabb if needed. I hope you enjoy working with it; please share your results so I can see your improvements.
