Statue of Koré

In the territory of Ariccia and Casaletto, a sacred haven was discovered, dedicated to Demeter and Koré, revered goddesses embodying the earth's fertile essence. A treasure trove of terracotta artifacts was unearthed within a ritual repository. A majestic statue of Koré emerged from reddish clay, skillfully shaped with precision tools and partially molded by a die-cut box. The goddess sits majestically on a throne, draped in a chitone and cloak, adorned with exquisite jewelry reminiscent of Magna Grecia's finest craftsmanship. In her left hand, she cradles a votive piglet, a symbol of devotion and gratitude.
