This colossal statue of King Anlamani boasts a striking feature: its head is adorned with majestic ram horns. The statue hails from Napatan, during the reign of Anlamani in the early 7th century BC. As a king of Nubia or Kush, Anlamani ruled from 620 BC and passed away around 600 BC. Under his leadership, Kush experienced a powerful resurgence in its authority. Born to Senkamanisken, his predecessor, and the elder sibling of Aspelta, his successor, Anlamani wielded titles mirroring those of the Egyptian pharaohs.
