Statue of King Amenhotep at The British Museum, London
myminifactory
Here King Amenhotep III sits proudly in classic pose and attire. His hands rest flat on his knees as he occupies a throne, his nemes headcloth, false beard, and short kilt perfectly in place. A ceremonial bull's tail is discreetly tucked between the legs of the kilt. The king's names are prominently displayed on the front and back of the throne as well as on the belt of the kilt. The sides of the throne feature a motif signifying the union of Upper and Lower Egypt, symbolizing the country's unity. Crafted in the 18th Dynasty around 1400 BC, this magnificent piece was unearthed in Thebes. This impressive object is part of "Scan The World", a non-profit project launched by MyMiniFactory.
