Statue of Khuienkhufu
myminifactory
Limestone figure of Khuienkhufu strides confidently but is marred by a broken knee and missing right thumb. The base is also chipped, yet the head remains perfectly intact. A short wig and semi-pleated kilt are distinct features of this ancient statue. Notably, preserved colors include vibrant red patches on the body, yellow pleats in the kilt, a green buckle, and black hues for the wig, plinth, and base. The figure's name and titles are intricately incised onto its base. This artifact was discovered alongside object 36-4-52 (Ka-em-iset), cataloged as Cairo Journal No. 67571. Provenance details reveal that this statue originated from Giza, specifically from tomb G 2407 D, where it was unearthed amidst thieves' debris in 1936 by the Harvard University-Museum of Fine Arts Expedition. The Egyptian government subsequently assigned the artifact to the Museum of Fine Arts on August 1, 1937.
