The statue was unearthed in Troezen. The deity stands proudly nude, draped only by a chlamys. A petassos rests atop his head. With his right hand, he seizes the horns of a ram that sits beside him, its hind legs firmly planted on the ground. This reproduction dates back to the late 5th century B.C., and it is believed to be the work of Naukydes, a sculptor associated with Polykleitos' school.
