Statue of Hercules
myminifactory
The figure stands motionless, his club balanced against a rugged outcropping and the pelt of the Nemean lion draped across it - an emblem signifying the hero's first monumental task among twelve labors. On the base, a contemporary inscription, though unclear in this image, reads: "Nemios". Crafted by a Roman artist from the 2nd century A.D., this sculpture was inspired by a work of the 4th century B.C. attributed to the renowned Greek sculptor Lysippus.
