The patron deity of wine is shown standing upright and bare, reclining in a relaxed pose. A wreath of ivy adorns his head, while a fillet crowns it, and his hair is styled in an intricate coiffure. His left arm rests upon the trunk of a tree, which is encircled by a curling vine. In his right hand, he presumably grasped a cantharus (a drinking vessel).
