A sacred refuge had been established within the borders of Ariccia and Casaletto, consecrated to Demeter and Koré, divine embodiments of the earth's fertile essence. A significant collection of terracotta artifacts was unearthed from a sacrificial repository. This statue of Demeter was crafted from rosy-beige clay, shaped by hand and partially molded using a die box. The goddess wears a chiton and cloak, seated upon an ornate and expansive throne. Her regal presence is enhanced by a diadem and corn-ear headdress, as well as precious jewelry adorning her form. In her outstretched hand, she cradles ears of corn, a distinctive attribute of her divine nature.
