This iconic statue of Apollo, God of the Sun, originally served as a garden sculpture and was proudly displayed on the south pediment of Duff House in Banffshire. Among six classical gods that adorned this magnificent structure were Minerva, Mars, Bacchus, Mercury, and Diana, all skillfully crafted by renowned artist Jan Van Nost the Younger around 1740.
