Statue of Aphrodite
myminifactory
Aphrodite is depicted as she emerges from her bath, her hair dripping wet as she stands upright after squeezing out the water. The 1st century B.C statue, a variation on the renowned bronze sculpture by Doidalsas, showcases Aphrodite in a crouching position. Originally created in the 3rd Century B.C, this work of art is now part of the Cesi Collection and later the Boncompagni Ludovisi Collection, where it was restored to its former glory and paired with a boy holding a goose to form the famous statuary group of Leda and the Swan.
