Found in the bustling port city of Piraeus, this captivating sculpture showcases a woman draped in a translucent chiton, cinched high at the waist with a decorative belt tied in the distinctive 'Herakles knot'. A flowing himation adorns her shoulders, while ornate sandals add a touch of elegance to her ensemble. On her left arm, an armlet shines brightly, and on her wrist, a delicate bracelet adds a subtle sparkle. The inscription on the base of the statue reveals that it was dedicated by Megiste, daughter of Architimos, in honor of the revered Mother of the Gods and Aphrodite.
