Acquired by Frederick II in Rome in 1768, a stunning marble statue originating from ancient Rome after a priceless original dating back to approximately 320/310 BC is now in the public domain. The Roman replica dates back to a magnificent Greek bronze masterpiece created between 320 and 310 BC, possibly designed as an honor to a triumphant athlete and attributed to the renowned sculptor Lysippos of Sicyon. Modern artisans skillfully added the right lower arm and hand with an ointment flask in recent times. This incredible artifact is part of "Scan The World," a groundbreaking non-profit initiative launched by MyMiniFactory, aiming to create a comprehensive digital archive of fully 3D printable sculptures, artworks, and landmarks from all over the globe for everyone's free access. Scan the World is an open-source, community-driven project; if you have fascinating items around you and want to contribute, simply email stw@myminifactory.com to discover how you can participate and make a difference.
